The picturesque Sapphire Coast of New South Wales is set to host an exciting week of professional golf as the NSW/ACT PGA Associate Championship returns to Tura Beach Country Club this Tuesday, 26th August 2025. With a substantial $50,000 prize purse on offer, 108 Associates from across Australia will compete in this prestigious tournament.

Defending Champion William Bayliss Eyes Back-to-Back Victory

Pymble Golf Club Associate William Bayliss returns as the man to beat, seeking to repeat his dominant performance from 12 months ago. The current third-year participant in the PGA’s Membership Pathway Programme showcased remarkable composure last year, overcoming a three-stroke deficit at the halfway mark with consecutive 71s in the final rounds to secure a commanding seven-stroke victory.

Bayliss, who was runner-up to Jack Wright in 2023, will face stiff competition from a quality field. Yarrambat Park Golf Course Associate Toby Walker emerges as a genuine challenger, whilst Lachlan Chamberlain from Gold Creek GC, South Australian Joseph Hodgson from Mt Osmond GC, and Kyle Novacek from Wodonga GC are all expected to contend for the title.

The tournament represents the second year of a three-year commitment, highlighting the strong partnership between professional golf and the local community.
