The Men’s Open Ambrose got underway at eleven o’clock sharp this weekend at Tura Beach Country Club – and for once, everyone was right on time. No stragglers, no delays, just a perfectly punctual start that caught even the organisers by surprise. It’s the kind of rare occurrence worth celebrating in itself.

The golf carts rolled out in convoy style, buzzing and humming through the salty sea air in what could generously be described as organised formation. There’s something infectious about the energy of a big field heading out together, and the Men’s Open delivered exactly that atmosphere from the very first moment.

Sunshine, Swings and Good Spirits

The weather absolutely turned it on for the occasion. Golden sunshine lit up the course at Tura Beach, making for ideal conditions and the kind of day that reminds you why weekend golf is hard to beat. A cracker of a morning to go with the flow and enjoy every hole.

As for the pre-round beverage of choice – coffee wasn’t exactly the crowd favourite. Beers were flowing early and freely, serving as the preferred morning toast for most of the field. It set the tone for a relaxed, fun-filled day where the emphasis was firmly on enjoying the company as much as the competition.
